About Heather-Rose Ryan

Heather-Rose Ryan is a Usui and Shamballa Reiki Master, a shamanic practitioner, and a lifelong student of metaphysics and the Tarot.  In her consulting practice, she combines these modalities and draws on many diverse schools of spiritual and metaphysical thought to assist clients in their personal development.

Heather-Rose's family pastor while growing up was Norman Vincent Peale.  She was greatly influenced by his teachings and his tireless work to bring spiritual enlightenment and personal fulfillment to the mass of humanity, regardless of religious affiliation.  Over the years as she has expanded her studies on different aspects of spirituality and metaphysics, she has been drawn to the work of others who are de-mystifying the Mysteries and communicating them to a wider audience.  Among these teachers and visionaries are Eileen Caddy, Machaelle Small Wright, Diane Stein, Jan Fries, Gordon MacLellan, Jessica Macbeth and Christopher Penczak.

In 2001, Heather-Rose received guidance from Spirit to obtain training in psychic development and alternative healing modalities.  She studied psychic development, divination and mediumship with psychic mediums Susan and Christine Anderson.  In 2005, she received her Usui Reiki Master training from Rev. Susan Aguirre and completed her shamanic-healing training with shamanic practitioner Karen Johnson.  She is now participating in a two-year intensive graduate program in shamanic healing taught by practitioners C. Allie Knowlton and Evelyn Rysdyk.

This winter, Heather-Rose augmented her existing Reiki Master training with a weekend of training with Diane Stein in Florida. Diane teaches Usui Reiki in a somewhat different format than most Reiki Masters: she teaches the entire system - Reiki I, II and Master Level - in one weekend, and charges only $500. This enables more people to obtain Reiki knowledge at less than the usual cost. Heather-Rose will be teaching Reiki in ths format in the future.

Another focus of Heather-Rose's is geomancy and "spiritual ecology": working with earth energies and nature spirits to help heal the earth and ourselves.  She has studied with internationally-known geomanticist and author Marko Pogacnik and his daughter Ana in the first School of Geomancy in the United States.

Heather-Rose is a Second Degree Freemason in the order of American Co-Masonry.

Besides her work in metaphysical consulting, Heather-Rose is also a writer who has published articles on a wide range of subjects, with a particular focus on "world music". She runs the webzine beat-a-go-go.com, an interactive webzine devoted to music, culture and the arts. More information on her writing and her bio can be found on her writing website.
